Membership FAQs
Before you choose.
The public LOOK tool remains free. These answers explain the enhanced practitioner and organisation options.
What is free?
The public LOOK Interactive tool is free and requires no account. It includes the four LOOK domains, connected reflection, pathway checks and a printable draft formulation.
What does practitioner membership add?
Advanced formulation and action planning, specialist safeguarding modules, worked scenarios, supervision and MDT tools, referral routes, reflective-learning records and member practice updates.
Can I examine the practitioner resources before paying?
Yes. Verified practitioners can explore the enhanced resources during free early access until 31 December 2026. No card is required and early access will not convert automatically into a paid membership.
What am I paying for rather than receiving through the free tool?
The public tool provides the four LOOK lenses, connected reflection, pathway checks and a printable draft formulation. Membership pays for deeper specialist modules, enhanced formulation and action planning, reusable professional outputs, worked scenarios, supervision and MDT resources, reflective-learning records and maintained practice updates. View the dated resource catalogue.
Will early access automatically become paid?
No. No card is collected and there is no automatic charge. Early access ends on 31 December 2026; from 1 January 2027, each user chooses whether to subscribe.
What will practitioner membership cost?
The planned price is £12 monthly or £120 annually. The public LOOK tool will remain free.
Can membership be cancelled?
Yes. Members can cancel future renewal through their account. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
How can I ask a question about membership?
Use the PS Safeguarding contact form for questions about access or whether the resources suit your role. Do not include identifiable or confidential case information.
Can identifiable case information be entered?
No. Use anonymised or fictional situations and do not enter names, dates of birth, addresses, NHS numbers or other identifying information. Reflection tools work locally in the browser.
Does LOOK decide safeguarding thresholds?
No. LOOK supports reflection and formulation. It does not replace professional judgement, supervision, specialist assessment, local procedures, statutory duties, legal advice or emergency action.
Is the learning externally CPD accredited?
Not currently. The resources can support reflective practice and professional development but are not certified by an external CPD body.
What does an organisation licence include?
Multiple accounts with optional training, implementation support, local tailoring, evaluation and assurance. The offer is agreed around the organisation’s needs.
How do I log in or reset my password?
Already registered? Log in to the practitioner workspace using your account email and password. If you have forgotten your password, request a reset link. If you still need help, contact support. Never share your password or confidential case information.
