These terms explain how the PS Safeguarding Ltd website, free LOOK Interactive Tool, LOOK Practitioner portal, subscriptions, publications and LOOK Safeguarding Framework® resources may be used.
1. About these terms
This website is operated by PS Safeguarding Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13855966, with its registered office in London, England. By accessing or using the website, LOOK tools or downloadable resources, you agree to these terms and to any additional notice displayed with a particular resource. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant tool or resource.
2. Public support information and professional resources
The People, families & carers pages and public pathway guides provide general information for people seeking support, their families, friends and unpaid carers. They can help you understand options and prepare questions for services. They do not provide personal casework, make a referral, request an assessment or decide entitlement to support.
The LOOK reflection tools and practitioner resources support professional reflection and learning. They do not replace legislation, statutory guidance, organisational policy, formal risk assessment, legal advice, clinical judgement or case-specific safeguarding decision-making.
Users remain responsible for checking current law, guidance and local procedures and for exercising appropriate professional judgement.
3. Copyright and permitted use
Unless otherwise stated, website content, publications, graphics, tools and resources are owned by PS Safeguarding Ltd and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
You may view, download and print publicly available resources for your own professional learning and for non-commercial internal discussion within your organisation. Copyright statements, PS Safeguarding branding, acknowledgements and trade-mark notices must remain visible and unchanged.
A website link may be shared with colleagues. Please link to the relevant PS Safeguarding webpage rather than hosting a separate copy of a resource.
You may also view, download and print the public support information for your own personal or family use, or to help someone you support prepare for a conversation with services. This does not grant permission to reproduce or deliver LOOK training, adapt the framework or use it commercially.
4. Free LOOK Interactive Tool licence
PS Safeguarding Ltd grants each user a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the free LOOK Interactive Tool for lawful professional reflection, learning and non-commercial case discussion.
This licence permits a user to enter anonymised or fictional information, generate a draft formulation, and print or save that output for their own professional use or within their organisation's approved safeguarding processes. The user is responsible for checking, amending and approving any output before it is relied upon or placed on an official record.
The licence does not permit a user or organisation to reproduce the LOOK method as its own tool; copy or adapt the prompts, structure, code or branded materials; use them to create or train a competing product or service; remove ownership notices; sell or sublicense access; or deliver LOOK-branded training without prior written permission.
The free public licence applies to use of the online tool by individual users. It does not grant organisation-wide implementation, facilitator, training, audit, evaluation or commercial rights.
5. LOOK Safeguarding Framework®
LOOK Safeguarding Framework® is a registered trade mark of PS Safeguarding Ltd, UK Trade Mark No. UK00004384773. Access to a public overview or reflection tool does not transfer ownership or grant a licence to reproduce, adapt, rebrand, teach, commercialise or implement the framework as an organisational product.
Organisations wishing to use LOOK in training, implementation, audit, assurance, research or commissioned work should contact PS Safeguarding Ltd to agree the appropriate permission and support.
6. Organisation licences and pilots
Use of LOOK as an adopted organisational methodology, within staff training, implementation programmes, facilitator or champion arrangements, audit, assurance, research, commissioned work or locally adapted materials requires a separate written agreement with PS Safeguarding Ltd.
An organisation licence or pilot agreement will define the participating services and users, permitted materials and activities, licence period, support, evaluation arrangements, fees where applicable, confidentiality, data responsibilities and use of branding. Access to the free public tool or an individual practitioner account does not create these rights.
7. Practitioner accounts and early access
You must provide accurate account information, keep your password confidential and notify PS Safeguarding Ltd if you believe your account has been compromised. Accounts are for the registered user and must not be shared, transferred or used to provide access to another person.
Free early access to practitioner resources is available until 31 December 2026. No payment card is required and early access will not convert automatically into a paid subscription. From 1 January 2027, continued access to practitioner-only resources will require an actively chosen membership unless PS Safeguarding Ltd announces an extension.
PS Safeguarding Ltd may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect security, investigate misuse or address a serious breach of these terms. Where appropriate, reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue will be provided.
8. Practitioner membership and billing
Before payment, the checkout will show the selected plan, total price, billing frequency and any applicable taxes. The planned standard prices are £12 per month or £120 per year. A contract begins only when a user actively selects a paid plan and Stripe confirms payment.
Paid membership renews automatically at the selected monthly or annual interval until cancelled. Payment is taken in advance through Stripe using the payment method supplied to Stripe. PS Safeguarding Ltd does not store full payment-card details.
If a payment fails, access may be restricted after reasonable attempts to resolve the payment. Any future price change will be communicated in advance and will not take effect retrospectively during a period already paid for.
Organisation licences, team access, training and implementation support are subject to a separate written proposal or agreement and are not included in an individual practitioner membership.
9. Cancellation, renewal and refunds
You may cancel an individual membership online at any time through the Manage Billing link in the practitioner dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewal payments. Unless a statutory cancellation or refund right applies, access normally continues until the end of the period already paid for.
Nothing in these terms limits rights provided by consumer law. Depending on the circumstances, consumers purchasing online may have statutory cancellation rights. To ask to cancel during an applicable cooling-off period, request a refund or report a billing problem, email contact@pssafeguarding.co.uk. Any refund due by law will be processed to the original payment method.
PS Safeguarding Ltd will make the subscription price and renewal arrangement clear before purchase and provide an accessible online cancellation route. Users should retain the confirmation sent following purchase or cancellation.
10. Temporary reflections, optional local saving and professional records
Information entered into the public LOOK Interactive tool exists only in the page’s temporary memory while it remains open. It is not written to browser storage or stored in the practitioner account, and refreshing or closing the page erases it. Some practitioner forms provide a separate option to save information locally on the device; this occurs only when the user deliberately selects that option. Another person accessing the same browser profile may be able to view information deliberately saved through those practitioner forms.
Use only fictional or fully anonymised information. Do not paste or summarise clinical, care, safeguarding, police, housing or other case records, or enter names, dates of birth, addresses, NHS numbers or other identifiable or confidential information. Users remain responsible for reviewing outputs, transferring any required information to their organisation’s approved record and clearing local entries appropriately. LOOK outputs are working professional reflections, not formal safeguarding, domestic-abuse, mental-capacity or clinical assessments.
The current LOOK tools do not send entries to an external interpretation service, interpret case information or calculate risk. Fixed, pre-written prompts and rules arrange the user’s own entries into a draft. Any future function involving automated interpretation would be subject to separate privacy, information-governance and safety review before use.
11. Restricted uses
You must not, without prior written permission, remove ownership notices; alter or rebrand materials; republish substantial content; upload resources to another public website or shared commercial library; sell, sublicense or commercially exploit materials; or present PS Safeguarding content as your own.
Materials must not be used in a misleading, unlawful or discriminatory way or in a manner that suggests endorsement by PS Safeguarding Ltd where none has been agreed.
12. External links and third-party material
Links to legislation, judgments, guidance and other external material are provided for convenience and professional reference. PS Safeguarding Ltd does not control third-party websites and cannot guarantee that external content will remain available, current or unchanged.
13. Website availability and responsibility
Reasonable care is taken when preparing and maintaining the website, but uninterrupted access or complete freedom from error cannot be guaranteed. Content may be corrected, updated, replaced or withdrawn.
Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that qualification, PS Safeguarding Ltd is not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on general website content or for loss arising from unauthorised or inappropriate use of a resource.
14. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute relating to the website or these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Permissions and enquiries
For permission to reproduce, adapt, deliver or implement a resource, email contact@pssafeguarding.co.uk with details of the material and intended use.
These terms may be updated when services, resources or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain available on this page.
